Treptow sets the school record in 5K

Oct. 5 brought the J-Hawk cross country runners to the West Delaware Invite where they took on 24 teams between the boys’ and girls’ races including 16 ranked teams and 24 ranked runners.

The varsity girls took fifth out of 18 teams. Amanda Treptow took second at the event and set a new school record with her time of 19:09. Mackenzie Wilson took third at 19:24, the second-best time in Jesup history. Claire Wright took 10th at 20:07.

Nolan Evans finished fourth in the varsity boys’ race. His time of 16:26 was the fifth best time in school history. Overall, the boys finished ninth out of 21 teams.

In the JV races, the girls took third and the boys 11th. The girls had two top ten finishers: Katelyn Zelic who finished fifth at 22:58 and Amaya Trebon-Boyd who finished sixth at 23:00.
