Louise Arlene Eichelberger
Louise Arlene Eichelberger, 79, of Des Moines, formerly of Jesup, passed away October 6, 2021, at home in Des Moines from injuries obtained from a fall.

Louise was best known for her love for her family and her gift of cooking and baking. She played the organ at her church, sang in the choir and was a huge prayer warrior for her family and friends. She enjoyed many different secretarial roles throughout her work career, her last as a pharmacy assistant, retiring from Walmart.

She is survived by her husband, Warren; her daughter Julie Eichelberger of Jesup, IA; daughter-in-law, Christy (Schrock) Eichelberger; 4 grandchildren, Amber Rueber, Corey Eichelberger, Katelyn Eichelberger and Caleb Eichelberger; 5 great-grandchildren, Kyra Johnson, Trinity, Jeffrey, Jaxon and Hunter Rueber; and a niece, Donna Welch of Columbus, OH. Louise was preceded in death by her parents; son, Dr. Kevin Eichelberger; and brothers, Lawrence Duane Welch and Carl Welch.

A graveside service is planned for Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 2:30 p.m. at the Altoona Cemetery for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for the charity of Louise’s choosing.
