Bosco boys suffer first loss, girls finish week 3-5

It had been 352 days since the Don Bosco baseball team had seen a loss.
But on June 5, the team fell 6-8 and 3-10 against preseason ranked 2A #3 Beckman Catholic.

Prior to that, the preseason #3-ranked 1A Dons came away with wins against Lisbon (2-0), Union (12-2), Clarksville (9-0), Sigourney (4-3), and Riceville (14-0 and 15-0).

The Bosco girls ended the week with a record of 3-5.

After defeating Dunkerton in their opener on May 25, they took losses in their next four game. On June 4, they came back to grab their third with of the season with a 7-6 victory over Oelwein before falling to Sumner-Fredericksburg on June 5 at the North Fayette Valley Tigerhawk Classic.
