Jesup girls’ golf takes first against Hudson, boys take first at Tripoli

Jesup hosted Hudson in its Apr. 26 golf meet. The girls came out with a 225-259 victory over Hudson. The boys fell 191-171.

Alexis Harris was runner-up medalist with 53. Laney Fischer and Kalista Schutte tied for third with 57.

“We need to work on our course management a bit to stay out of the trees and trouble areas of the golf course,” said head girls’ coach Michelle Klein. “Overall, chipping and putting was solid by all players.”

The boys’ top finisher was Gavin Nolan, tied for third with 43. Jack Miller finished in a tie for 4th with 44.

The teams competed in a triangular against Clarksville and Tripoli on Apr. 30. The boys took first place with a score of 193. The girls took third with 274.

Gavin Nolan was runner-up medalist with a score of 43.

Gracie Joblinkse was the top finisher for the J-Hawk girls with 57, earning her eighth.
