Jesup boys’ and girls’ golf take on Union and Columbus

The J-Hawk golfers competed against Union and Columbus in a varsity triangular Apr. 22 at the La Porte City Golf Club.

The Jesup girls took second behind Columbus with a score of 212, and the boys took a third place finish with a score of 210.

Gracie Joblinske earned the runner-up medalist honors in the girls competition with her score of 50. Laney Fischer and Rachel Clayberg tied for third with 53. Alexis Harris tied for seventh with 56, Kalista Schutte tied for 11th with 59, and Jersey Even tied for 17th with 66.

“I’m so please with all the girls’ efforts today and the positive mindset they showed on the course and with the other competitors,” said head coach Michelle Klein.

Gavin Nolan was Jesup’s top finisher in the boys’ match with his score of 49, earning him 12th. Brayden Menuey tied for 13th with 51 and was followed by Corbin Fuelling, 15th with 54, followed by Jack Miller and Cale Schissel in 16th place with 56. Jase Pilcher finished 18th with a score of 59.
