Gerald Dale Sewick
Gerald Dale Sewick, 88, of Aurora, Colorado passed away on January 25, 2020. Gerald was born in Waterloo, Iowa on November 24, 1931 to Dale and Beth Sewick. He was married to Rosemary Schares on June 12, 1954 and they had six children, 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Gerald was a graduate of Jesup High School, Jesup, Iowa and a graduate of Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa earning a B.S. in Industrial Economics. He served as a 1st Lieutenant in the US Army Signal Corps, Ft. Richie, Maryland. For the next 43 years, Gerald was a Sales Engineer and Marketing Manager for Copperweld Corporation, Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. He was a lifetime member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE).

During the years of raising a family, Gerald was supportive and active in the Boy Scout and Order of the Arrow programs. As a family, we traveled the western states on many summer vacations and enjoyed outdoor activities in the Rocky Mountains. He was an active member of St. Pius X Parish, Aurora, Colorado. Gerald shared his business knowledge as a Member of the Cherry Creek Valley Optimist Club.

Gerald Sewick is survived by his children: Diane Grivetti (Marty), Ron Sewick (Lori), Dean Sewick (Liz), Elaine Ganyard (Ted); his grandchildren: Chris Creason, Steven Sewick, Amber Sewick, Matthew Sewick, Cody Sewick, Steven Jacobs, Dylan Ganyard, Jacob Sewick, Brandon Sewick, Tayler Sewick; and his great-grandchildren: Kendall Creason, Natalie Sewick and Cooper Seem. Gerald was preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary Sewick; his brothers, Kit Sewick, Rex Sewick; and his sons, Greg Sewick and Alan Sewick.

Memorial service was at St. Pius X Parish, Aurora, CO. Interment was at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver, CO.
