Jesup Soccer offers first annual Winter Skills Clinic
Jesup Soccer Club is offering its first annual Winter Skills Clinic on Saturday, Jan. 25 and Saturday, Feb. 1.

Taught by Hawkeye Community College soccer players, the clinics will consist of 75 minutes of technical skill building, followed by a 45 minute scrimmage.

Participants will be separated into age groups determined by the ages of those registering. Registration deadline is Wednesday, Jan. 22 in order to make sure enough coaches are available.

The skill clinics are open to students in first grade through high school. Players should provide a soccer ball (extra ones will be available for those who don’t have one), shin guards and a water bottle, and should wear tennis shoes, as play will be inside the gymnasium. Players should arrive with a parent/guardian 10-15 minutes prior to the clinic start time for check in, waiver signing, and completion of payment. Cost will be $20 per child for one clinic; or $35 for both clinics.

The Clinics will both be held from 10 a.m. to noon Jan. 25 and Feb. 1 at the St. Athanasius School gymnasium, 635 Stevens Street, Jesup.

For more information, please contact Jennifer Schmudlach, 319-239-6383 or email:

“We look forward to seeing you soon,” Schmudlach said, “and are extremely excited to bring this clinic to our community for all soccer players, near and far!”
