Ramona Jean Schuler
Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, October 5, 2019, at St. Athanasius Catholic Church, Jesup, IA with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation was from 3 – 7 p.m., Friday October 4 at the White Funeral Home, Jesup, IA where there was a Catholic Daughter of America Rosary at 3 p.m. and vigil service at 6:30 p.m. Visitation continued for an hour before services Saturday at the church. Ramona was born July 12, 1937, in Buchanan County, IA the daughter of Robert Brown and Evelyn (Saunders) Brown. She graduated from Jesup High School with the class of 1956. On May 14, 1960, she was united in marriage to Eugene Alfred Schuler in Jesup. She was a homemaker and had worked delivering newspapers for the Waterloo Courier for over 20 years. She was a member of St. Athanasius Catholic Church in Jesup and a member of Catholic Daughters of the Americas.
Ramona is survived by one daughter, Denise (Harold) Clayton of Fairbank, IA; three sons, Michael Schuler of Jesup, Joseph Schuler of Jesup and Matthew (Gail) Schuler of Jesup; 9 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Her parents; husband, Eugene (1999); one great-grandson, Connor Zanker, and two sisters, Catherine Flores and Alice Brown, preceded her in death.
