Bosco, Jesup face off on baseball field
It was an oppressively warm game day when 1A #6 ranked Don Bosco took on Jesup at the J-Hawk’s home field on July 1.
Jesup responded to Bosco’s four run lead with three runs at the bottom of the second. Jesup fought hard to keep up with Bosco but ultimately fell 6-7.

Bosco’s runs were scored by Kendall Becker (two), Mason Denton (two), Easton Larson (one), Dillon Welter (one), and Cade Tenold (one). Becker led the team with two runs batted in (RBI). Cael Frost and Lewis Havel each had one RBI. Pitchers Easton Larson and Ryan Naughton threw five strikeouts in the eight innings.

Jesup’s Cole Oberbroeckling and Gavin Nolan scored two runs each in the matchup. Other scorers were Zach Mead and Brody Clark-Hurlbert with one run each. Cade Nolan hit a triple and batted in two runs. Brodie Kresser and Heath Wyant each had one RBI. Jesup threw seven strikeouts between its rotation of six pitchers.
