James “Jim” A. Patten
James “Jim” A. Patten, 55 years old of Waterloo, IA and formerly of Jesup, died Tuesday, March 12, 2019, at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo.

Funeral Services were 11:00 a.m. – Saturday, March 16, 2019, at Zion Lutheran Church - Jubilee, rural La Porte City, IA. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation was from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Friday, March 15 at the White Funeral Home, Jesup, IA, and for an hour before services Saturday at the church. Jim was born November 22, 1963, in Waterloo, IA, the son of James Raymond Patten and Cheryl Ann (Hummel) Patten. He graduated from Jesup High School with the class of 1982. He worked several different places including for Tyson Foods as a tray-former operator. He enjoyed animals and was passionate in supporting charities in the rescue efforts of animals.

Jim is survived by his mother, Cheryl Patten of Jesup; one brother, Mark Patten of Waterloo, and a special friend and her family, Kim Ciesielski, her daughter, Cady, and grandson, Gunner.

His father, James R. Patten, preceded him in death on May 17, 2011.
