Jesup girls 12-5, boys 9-8
Hudson hosted its makeup game against Jesup on January 21. The J-Hawks varsity girls overcame the Pirates, 55-31, making the 12th win for Jesup. Jesup scorers in the game were Emily Treptow (21), Brittany Lingenfelter (11), Payton McHone (8), Brianna Lingenfelter (8), Leah Borgerding (3), Allison Flaharty (2), and Mara Moore (2).

The varsity boys also celebrated a victory against Hudson, though they fought a much tighter game. Jesup held the lead 38-18 at the end of the first half, but Hudson rallied in the third quarter, narrowing the lead to nine points. Hudson scored more points than Jesup in the fourth quarter but not enough to turn the game in their favor. Jesup took the victory, 50-46. Scorers for Jesup were Cade Nolan (15), Brodie Kresser (13), Cooper Fuelling (9), Josh Johnson (8), Landon Borrett (4), and Zach Mead (1).

Neither Jesup team was able to make it out on top on the January 25 game against Aplington-Parkersburg. The girls fell short, 41-64, and the boys lost, 36-63. The Aplington-Parkersburg varsity girls have only lost one game so far this season and the boys only three.

The Jesup boys played a nail biter on January 26 against Denver in their makeup matchup from earlier in the week. At the half, Jesup was down 36-42. Denver kept ahead in the third quarter, leaving Jesup behind 47-57. The J-Hawks battled hard in the fourth to edge just ahead and take the win, 70-67. Scorers for Jesup were Brodie Kresser (23), Cade Nolan (13), Josh Johnson (13), Cooper Fuelling (10), Landon Borrett (10), and Zach Mead (1). Josh Johnson also had one block.
