Grant writing workshop in Jesup Feb. 5Buchanan County Community Foundation, an affiliate of the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa, will be hosting a public grant writing workshop on Tuesday, February 5.
Attendees are invited to attend the workshop at one of two times, 12 p.m. or 6:00 p.m. at the Jesup Public Library at 721 6th St. Those who are unable to make it to the Jesup Public Library may attend online via Zoom. RSVP online at cfneia.org/bccf-workshop.
A panel of Buchanan County Community Foundation members will discuss changes to the 2019 grant cycle. The panel will share what they look for in applications and will offer time for a Q & A. Workshop attendees will also hear from Dotti Thompson, Program Manager for the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa, on grant writing tips and best practices.
The 2019 BCCF grant cycle will begin on February 5, 2019 with an application deadline of April 1, 2019. The Governing Committee will look favorably upon programs, projects and organizations that contribute, in a significant way, to improve the quality of life for residents of Buchanan County. Grant requests should fit into one of the following categories: art and culture, community betterment, education, environment, health, historic preservation and human service.
