Jesup finds wins in home wrestling tournament
On Dec. 1, Jesup held its home wrestling tournament against 11 schools. Jerret Delagardelle defeated Waterloo West’s Cole Knight 5-0, New Hampton/Turkey Valley’s (NH/TV) Brayden Anderson 11-5, and North Tama’s Zane Nelson 6-0. Izak Krueger finished his match with five pins, including 16 second and 25 second pins against two Waterloo West wrestlers.

Bryce Gleiter finished his first three rounds with pins, but lost the fourth against North Fayette wrestler Alex Streif with a score of 6-2. He received a bye in the final round.

Carter Littlefield won his first round with a fall at 1:25 but was defeated in the second and third rounds. Brady Wilson was pinned at 3:38 in his first round against NH/TV’s Jonathan Dreckman, lost 5-12 in the second, 2-17 in the third, and 4-15 in the fourth.
