Bosco wins second round Regionals, loses to HLV, Victor in 3rd round
Don Bosco took down Dunkerton on their home court on Oct. 22 in the second round of regionals. Set scores were 25-13, 25-10, and 25-11, making a 3-0 win for Don Bosco.

The Dons scored nine aces during the game and had 70 out of 73 effective serves. Tricia Even, who went 16 for 16 in her serves, scored four of those aces. Ashley Grapp scored an additional two aces. Jenna Brown, Madi Hubrig, and Kennedi Purdy also scored an ace.

The team had 27 kills in 69 attack attempts. Ashley Grapp had seven kills, followed by Maddie Boldt with six, Kennedi Purdy with four, Jenna Brown and Marissa McFadden with three, and Tatum Bedard and Lexie Reiter with two. Bosco had 26 assists, 20 by Kennedy Purdy, two from Marissa McFadden and Brooke Steimel, and one each from Jenna Brown and Tricia Even. The team had five blocks, two from Maddie Boldt and the remaining three from Tatum Bedard, Jenna Brown, and Marissa McFadden. Bosco tallied 28 digs.

On Oct. 26, the team moved to the third round of regionals and battled HLV, Victor. HLV, Victor took a substantial lead in the first set with Don Bosco losing, 11-25. The Dons rallied in the second, narrowing the score in the second set to 22-25. Don Bosco continued the fight in the third, but ultimately fell short again, losing the final set 22-25 and ending the team’s season.

Don Bosco finished its season with a record of 21-16.
