Jesup boys at 10-9
The Jesup boys basketball team played against Wapsie Vally on Feb. 1. While Jesup had the lead at halftime, they were unable to hold off their opponents in the second half, resulting in a final score of 60-69.

Joey Youngblut led the team in scoring with 27 points, followed by Dylan McCombs at 14 points, Josh Johnson at 8 points, Landon Borrett at 5 points, and Zach Mead, Cade Nolan, and Cooper Fuelling all with 2 points.

The J-Hawks battled again the following night, taking on Sumner-Fredericksburg, winning 68-52.

The first quarter ended on a tie but Jesup was able to secure a narrow lead by second quarter and maintain the lead for the remainder of the game. Top scorer was Joey Youngblut at 23 points, followed by Landon Borrett at 13 points, Dylan McCombs at 11 points, Josh Johnson at 9 points, Cade Nolan at 8 points, Clayton Froehner at 3 points, and Alex Moore with 1 point. Youngblut also led in rebounds which totaled 12.
