Pre-season drills and practices began for the Dunkerton High Boys Basketball team last week.
The Raiders began drills on Nov. 16 under second-year Head Coach Dan Knebel. Brian Brungard will serve as an Assistant Coach for the team.
Twenty-seven boys have reported for practice. The final determination of the Varsity and JV rosters will be settled following early season drills.
Six seniors are on the roster. They are Trent Cooper, Mitch Donohue, Devin Kuenstling, Dylan Rigdon, Trevor Rigdon, and Dustin Rottinghaus.
Juniors are Codi Dennis, Shane Gamerdinger, Alex Haats, Corey Joens, Jacob Salisbury, Jarod Rottinghaus, and Dakota Wach.
Sophomores on the roster include Cody Berry, Jacob Boeschen, Brandon Eighmey, Danny Rigdon, Logan Studer, Nathan Westemeier, and Hunter Wason.
Freshmen reporting are Dillon Anderson, Jason Bedard, Robbie Gibson, Jacob Sickles, Tyler Sommerlot, Devin Trumbley, and Hunter Heideman.
Dunkerton begins the season on December 1 by hosting GMG in an Iowa Star Conference contest at the Dunkerton gym.
The Raiders will face Northeast Hamilton at Blairsburg, on Friday, December 4, in another conference game. |
