Dunkerton – Carroll E. Hauptly, 84, formerly of Dunkerton, IA, died Friday, May 29, 2009, at the Western Home in Cedar Falls, Iowa, of congestive heart failure.
Mr. Hauptly is survived by his wife Alice “Sal” Hauptly of Cedar Falls; four sons, James (Sue) Hauptly of Dunkerton, Robert (Siong) Hauptly of Waterloo, Donald Hauptly of Dunkerton, and Jon (Cindy) Hauptly of Waterloo; one daughter, Jan Hauptly of Dunkerton; two stepsons, Joseph D. (Teresa) Bartholomew, and James (Lisa) Bartholomew both of Waterloo; three stepdaughters, Janet (Steve) Dullard of Chicago Heights, IL, and Jolene (Robert) Wheeler and Jayne (Randy) Reed both of Dunkerton; also 25 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Phyllis Kuestling of Dunkerton.
Funeral Services will be 11 AM Tuesday, June 2, 2009, at the First Baptist Church, Dunkerton, with Pastor Tommy Rucker officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, Dunkerton, with military rites conducted by Peter Kress American Legion Post 636. Visitation will be from 5-9 PM Monday, June 1 at the White Funeral Home, Jesup, and for an hour before services Tuesday at the church.
