JESUP – Francis J. Weber, 86 years old of Jesup, IA, died Friday, May 8, 2009, at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo, IA, following a lengthy illness. 

Mr. Weber is survived by his wife Pat of Jesup; eight sons, Nicholas J. (Nancy) Weber of Jesup, Michael L. Weber of Jesup, Frank J. (Karen) of Independence, Charles R. (Cathy) Weber of Jesup, Philip F. Weber of Fairbank, Denis J. (Ann) Weber of Independence, David J. (Sue) Weber of Waterloo, and Alfred P. (Jane) Weber of Waterloo; four daughters, Kathleen (Bruce Zimmerman) Weber of West Linn, OR, Mary Sue Moore of Manhattan, KS, Annette (Jim) Ingles of Jesup, and Jane (Kevin) Story of Spokane, WA; 26 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Mary Monat. Jeanne (Stan) Tuve and Marcella (Wilfred) Breuer, all of Waterloo.
 
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Ruth Weber, and two brothers, Clarence N. Weber and Raymond F. Weber, and a son-in-law, Col. Hylan C. Moore, M.D.

Funeral services were 10:30 AM Monday, May 11, 2009, at St. Athanasius Catholic Church, Jesup, with Fr. Kenneth C. Stecher officiating and assisted by Deacon Alan Weber.  Burial in St. Athanasius Catholic Cemetery, Jesup. 

Special services on Sunday, May 10, at the White Funeral Home, Jesup, included a Knights of Columbus Rosary at 4 PM and Vigil Service at 7 PM. 

Memorials will be directed to St. Athanasius Church and School in Jesup, and to Don Bosco High School in Gilbertville.
