New at Farmers Day: Eric Extraordinaire to perform magic ac
Published in the Citizen Hearld June 10, 2009

Magician Eric Extraordinaire and his assistant Heather will perform a magic show on the Park Pavilion Stage on Saturday, July 11, at 5:30 PM during Farmers Day.

Eric Extraordinaire has been performing magic since he was a child. Starting with a little ring and a piece of string from his very first magic set, Eric began his journey into the magical world of mystery and excitement. Seven years later Eric’s show has developed into a one-of-a-kind class act that is jam packed with puzzling magic, audience participation, comedy, live animals, and his beautiful assistant Heather! Come see what everyone is talking about, it’s not just a magic show, it’s an experience!

About Eric
Eric Ver Steegt was inspired by Master Magician Lance Burton, Eric started his magical beginnings by performing at 4-H meetings, school classes, and family gatherings. Throughout the years his show has grown and so has Eric, not only as a person but as a performer as well. Eric is a graduate of Hawkeye Community College and in his spare time is involved with the Bremer County Fair Board as an auxiliary member, is a weather spotter for the National Weather Service and works as technical support for the Milk and Honey Band. Eric considers getting to travel, meeting new people, and performing his magic, just a few of the enjoyable benefits of this profession. Performing the classic linking ring effect is personally his favorite illusion but is constantly thinking of new routines and ideas for his show. Encouraged by fellow magicians, local fans, and patient family, Eric continues his goal to be a full time professional magician. He continues down the magical road to provide his audiences with an enjoyable performance, a new appreciation for the world of magic, and the belief that magic can still happen in all our lives.

About Heather
Heather Morgan was introduced to Eric’s magic over six years ago when her older sister, Heidi, was Eric’s assistant. When Heidi left the show, it was only a natural choice for Heather to take over. She now stars in the one-of-a-kind Eric Extraordinaire Experience as lead assistant. The thing she enjoys the most is being on stage and performing, although her favorite part is getting the kids involved with the show and seeing everyone having fun. Her favorite illusion to perform is the “Hand Chopper illusion.” Other than magic she is involved with her church, cheerleading, and soccer.
