Girls beat AGWSR, Denver
On May 29, Jesup softball played AGWSR, Ackley. Jesup won 4-3. Alexus Jensen batted in two runs. Andrea Gibbs and Rhianna Bigwood batted in the other runs. Jenna Jensen scored two of the runs. Andrea Gibbs and Breanne Fischels each score another run.

Against Denver

The J-Hawks played a double header against Denver of May 30, winning both games. The first game ended in a 14-1 victory.

Pitcher Rhianna Bigwood had two strikeouts during the game. Carley Pint hit a home run.

In the second game, Jesup won 18-3. Jacie Lange hit a triple play. Andrea Gibbs batted four of the runs in for the game. Zoe Miller, Jenna Jensen, Kristin Sadler, Jacie Lange, and Carley Pint each batted two runs in. Alexus Jensen, Rhianna Bigwood, and Breanne Fischels each batted another run in their high scoring game.

At Iowa City West Classic

Jesup competed in the Iowa City West Classic on June 1 and 2. They lost during each of their matches, falling 0-12 against Davenport Assumption, 5-12 against Davenport West, 4-5 against Iowa City-West, and 1-12 against Muscatine.

In their game against Assumption, Zoe Miller hit a double play and scored one of the runs, in addition to Carley Pint, Jacie Lange, Payton McHone, and Hailey Nie.

Alexus Jensen hit a double in their game against Iowa City West. She scored two of the runs. Zoe Miller and Jenna Jensen scored the other two runs of the game.

Payton McHone was the only scorer in the team’s Muscatine game. The run was batted in by Zoe Miller.
