Wrestlers kick off new year at Union dual
Jesup wrestlers returned from winter break ready to take to the mats on Jan. 4 in a double dual against West Marshall and Union.

Jesup first wrestled West Marshall starting with Carter Littlefield, who won by an 18-3 tech fall. Brady Wilson and Jerret Delagardelle followed, both losing by fall. Jesup then gave up three forfeits and picked back up again with a 3:32 pin by Keaton Roscovius over West Marshall's Kielman. Izak Krueger followed that with another fall at 152. Hunter Thoma was pinned by Kalinay. Tristen Reyes lost by fall. Jesup gave West Marshall two more forfeits at 182 and 195. Cole Oberbroeckling wrestled 220 and lost by fall. Brian Sadler received a forfeit. Jesup lost the dual 23-60.

Jesup finished the night with a dual against Union. Wilson and Delagardelle lost by fall at 113 and 120. Jesup forfeited the 126 and 138 pound weights. Keaton Roscovius was pinned at 145 pounds. Izak Krueger lost no time with a pin in :56. Thoma and Reyes were pinned at 160 and 170 pounds. Jesup forfeited 182 and 195 pounds. Oberbroeckling wrestled 220 and lost 9-4. Senior Brian Sadler won by fall in 1:52. Carter Littlefield ended the dual with a major decision loss 17-4. Jesup lost the dual 12-59.

Jesup wrestlers traveled to BGM on Saturday, January 6, and will travel to Denver Thursday, January 11 to face tough competition against two ranked teams, Denver and New Hampton.
