Shooting Club focus is basketball
The Jesup boys’ basketball program started the J-Hawk Shooting Club this past summer.

The Shooting Club was sponsored by Spahn & Rose Lumber Co., Jesup. Any boys’ basketball player going into grades 4 through 12 was able to participate. The goal was to shoot at least 1,000 shots from June 1 until July 31. Players were asked to record and turn in their record sheets at the end of the summer.

Seventeen boys reached this 1,000 shot milestone. Each player received a t-shirt with their total number of shots on the back.

Champions from each grade were recognized as well. They will also be honored at halftime of the December 1 varsity boys’ basketball game vs. LPC-Union, along with being game captains and ball boys.

Congratulations to all of the boys and special thanks to Dave Sabers at Spahn and Rose for being a great supporter of Jesup basketball.

The 17 boys reaching their milestone were:

Kaden Lange; Nathan Pint; Paxten McHone; Ryan Treptow; Brennan Oschner; Cale Schissel; Wyatt VanderWerff; Jacob Yexley; Kamden Oschner; Parker McHone; Carter Even; Noah Sheridan; Cameron Troyer; Jase Pilcher; Heath Wyant; Josh Johnson; and Dylan McCombs.
