Independence -  Bonnie C. Groesbeck, 80 years old, of rural Independence, Iowa, died on Monday, February 22, 2010, at the Buchanan County Health Center in Independence following a short illness.

Mrs. Groesbeck is survived by her husband of 29 years, Alan; two daughters, Debra (Lorne) Lee of Independence, and Tina (Earl) Steinbron of Jesup; one stepson, Alan Groesbeck of Independence; 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Charley Lee Blanchard of Bakers City, Oregon, and Steadman (Jill) Blanchard of Joplin, Missouri; and one sister, Kay (Delno) Robertson of Columbia, Missouri.

In addition to her second husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; three sons; and one great-granddaughter. 

Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM on Friday, February 26, 2010, at the Cornerstone Foursquare Church in Independence, Iowa, with Pastor Bill Black officiating. Burial will be at 2 PM on Friday, Feb. 26, at the Buckingham Cemetery in rural Traer, Iowa.
 
White Funeral Home of Independence is in charge of arrangements.  Friends may call for visitation from 4-8 PM on Thursday, Feb. 25, at the funeral home.
