Dorothy M. Youngblut
JESUP –Dorothy M. Youngblut, 88 years old of Jesup, IA and a resident of Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab Center in Waterloo, IA, died Sunday, February 7, 2010, at the nursing home.
Mrs. Youngblut is survived by three sons, Robert L. (Betty) Youngblut of Evansdale, Paul J. (Dee) Youngblut of Sumner, and James J. (Diane) Youngblut of Jesup; one daughter, Susie (Dick) Curry of Jesup; 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, John (Dorothy) Ortner of Dunkerton, and Richard Ortner of Jesup; three sisters, Delores Kimmel of Ponca City, OK, Helen (Ralph) Weber of Raymond, and Mary Knebel of Jesup. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Kathleen Sorenson; one brother in infancy, Robert Ortner; and twin grand daughters Mary and Martha Youngblut.
Funeral Services were 10:30 AM Friday, February 12, 2010, at St. Athanasius Catholic Church, Jesup, with Fr. Kenneth C. Stecher officiating.
Burial was in the church cemetery.
Special services at the White Funeral Home, Jesup, included a Catholic Daughters of America Rosary at 3 PM and Vigil Service at 7 PM Thursday.
