Fairbank - Floyd Lavern “Mike” Ohl, 80 years old, of Fairbank, Iowa, died on Sunday, April 27, 2008, at his home after courageously battling cancer.

Mr. Ohl is survived by two sons, Charles J. Ohl of Waterloo, and Michael T. Ohl of Fairbank; four grandchildren, Jessica Ohl, Clint Ohl, Kayla Shaw, and Amanda Smith; and three great-grandchildren, Whitney Ohl, Michael Ohl, and baby Ohl. He is also survived by three sisters, Ida Mae Blanchard of Evansdale, Virginia Steen of Waterloo, and Evelyn (Owen) Brickman of Harpers Ferry; and one brother, Leonard (Mary) Ohl of Hazleton, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Ralph, Donald, Arthur W., Martin, and Alfred Ohl; and two sisters, Wyona Rankin and Velma Ohl.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 12 Noon until 4 PM on Saturday, May 3, 2008, at the Hookanliner in Littleton. Graveside services will be at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the family.
