The Jesup City Council will conduct several public hearings at their regular City Council meeting on April 1 at 7 PM in the Community Room at the Jesup Public Library.
Don and Jerry Bloes (B&B Farm Store), Bob Strauel and East Central Iowa Cooperative have all requested rezoning of properties for building projects.
There will also be a public hearing on the easement of property along Hwy. 939, with a resolution directing the sale of interest in that property following the public hearing.
Also on the agenda for the meeting are the departmental reports and a National Library Week proclamation.
Appointments will be made to the Planning & Zoning Commission, and adoption of the Building Code is expected.
Resolutions ordering bids and approving plans for the Young Street Project and the South Street Culvert Project are expected.
A Finance Committee meeting date will be set to determine raises for city employees.
Approval for the hiring of INRCOG for the revisions to the comprehensive plan, and approval of a preliminary feasible contract with Gardner Architecture for the new City Hall building are also expected.
All interested persons are invited to attend the council meeting, which is open to the public. Anyone may address the council under Citizen Input, but in order for the council to take action, any items must be placed on the agenda at least 24 hours prior to the meeting in order to accommodate public posting of the agenda as required by Iowa law.
To place an item on the agenda, contact City Hall at 827-1522 before 3 PM on Thursday, March 27. |
