Arthur J. Frahm, 83, of Jesup, Iowa, died on Thursday morning, March 6, 2008, at the Buchanan County Health Center in Independence, Iowa after a lengthy illness.

He is survived by his wife, Caroline, of Jesup; two daughters, Sharon (Bill) Moran of Jesup and Deb (John) Yonkovic of Fairbank; four sons, Arlen (Connie) Frahm of Cedar Falls, Steve (Candy) Frahm of Conrad, Jeff (Mary) Frahm of Independence, and Rick (Teresa) Frahm of Jesup; 31 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; many nieces and nephews; and a sister-in-law, Pauline Frahm of Tripoli. He was preceded in death by his parents; one grandson, William Arthur Moran; one great-grandson, Hunter Daniel Moran; a brother, Wilbur Frahm; and two sisters, Lorraine Young and Mabel Frahm.

Funeral services will be Monday, March 10, 2008, at 10:30 AM at the St. John Lutheran Church in Fairbank, with Rev. Edwin Parker officiating. Interment will be at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Oelwein, with military graveside rites by Fortsch-Duffy American Legion post #552 of Fairbank.

Visitation will be held from 4-7 PM on Sunday, Mar. 9, at the Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home in Oelwein, and after 9:30 AM Monday at the church.

Memorials may be given in his name to Cedar Valley Hospice or to St. John Lutheran Church.
