Have you ever seen tulip blossoms on a tree? Paul Haley and Delores Dewald have. This “tulip tree” shades the back of their home, deck and patio with fragrant, orange and yellow tulip-shaped blossoms. Although it’s hard to see in this picture, dozens of blooms are waiting to open. Does anyone else in Jesup have a tree like this?

Girl Scout Troop 336 spend part of May 6 planting new flowers around the flag pole near the One Room Schoolhouse at Jesup School. Girls who worked the ground, removed weeds and planted new flowers are pictured above. They are, from left to right, Gina Sebetka, Michaela Kimmerle, Amber Hoodjer, Bailey Federspiel, Kennedy Galpin, Kylie Lauritzen and Mackenzie Lorenz. Troop leader is Jennifer Kimmerle; her adult helpers that day include Susie Galpin and Rick Kimmerle. Some of the cookie sales money was used for the project.
